Low Fat Weekly Menu--Day Two
Breakfast
2 Weet Bix or Vita Brits with a chopped apple and skim milk and a coffee
Snack
a piece of fruit and 3 Brazil nuts
Lunch
a wholegrain bread roll spread with mustard, filled with salad like tomato ,gherkins and lettuce, and a tub of diet fruit yoghurt
Snack
2-3 low-fat crisp bread (e.g. Ryvita ) spread with hummus and slices of tomato
Dinner
a serve of Herbed Fish Patties with Tartard Sauce ( page 115 )and Spicy Fries ( page 112 ),with 2-3 cups mixed coloured steamed vegetables (e.g. broccoli, carrot, eggplant, mushrooms )
Dessert
a slice of Apricot & Ginger Health Loaf ( page 145 )and a tub of diet fruit yoghurt
A serve of Lemon & Oregano Chicken with Beans ( page 79 ), with a serve of couscous, a large salad with a couple of tablespoons of low-fat mayonnaise, and a glass of wine.
