Herbed Fish Patties with Tartare Sauce
- 600 g boneless white fish fillets
- ½ cup dried breadcrumbs
- 4 egg whites or substitute*
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- ½ teaspoon dried parsley
- ¼ teaspoon onion powder
- salt and freshly ground black pepper
- canola oil spray, optional
Tartare Sauce
- 2 tablespoons 98% fat-free mayonnaise(e.g. Freedom or Kraft)
- 2 tablespoons non-fat plain yoghurt
- 1 teaspoon finely chopped capers
- 1 small dill gherkin, finely chopped
- ¼ teaspoon dried parsley
- salt and freshly ground black pepper
Place fish patty ingredients in a food processor and process until smooth. eason with pepper. Form into 4 patties.
Cook in a non-stick pan (use a little canola oil spray if necessary) for 3-4 minutes each side, or until cooked.
Meanwhile, combine all the sauce ingredients thoroughly. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Serve cooked patties with the Tartare Sauce.
