Herbed Fish Patties with Tartare Sauce

  • 600 g boneless white fish fillets
  • ½ cup dried breadcrumbs
  • 4 egg whites or substitute*
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon dried parsley
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • canola oil spray, optional
Tartare Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons 98% fat-free mayonnaise(e.g. Freedom or Kraft)
  • 2 tablespoons non-fat plain yoghurt
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped capers
  • 1 small dill gherkin, finely chopped
  • ¼ teaspoon dried parsley
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper
Place fish patty ingredients in a food processor and process until smooth. eason with pepper. Form into 4 patties.
Cook in a non-stick pan (use a little canola oil spray if necessary) for 3-4 minutes each side, or until cooked.
Meanwhile, combine all the sauce ingredients thoroughly. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Serve cooked patties with the Tartare Sauce.
